Free solar panel grants are coming in 2025 according to the Labour Government via a warm homes plan.
‘The Warm Homes Plan will offer grants and low interest loans to support investment in insulation and other improvements such as solar panels, batteries and low carbon heating to cut bills’.
Interest in the free solar panel grants is likely to be very high and we already have over 1000 applications.

Yes, you can typically choose your installer when receiving the ECO grants. However, it’s crucial to ensure that your chosen installer meets the eligibility criteria set forth by the scheme provider and adheres to relevant industry standards. Furthermore, please ensure that the installer is duly registered with applicable accreditation bodies and possesses the required qualifications to perform the task in a secure and efficient manner.
Once we’ve done your home survey, you might be eligible for both cavity wall and loft insulation. We’re only able to install one energy-efficient upgrade for each qualifying property. The level of funding you get will depend on the measures your property is suitable for as well as other factors. In some cases, you may be asked to contribute towards the cost of the installation. ECO4 is not a grant scheme where 100% funding is guaranteed & therefore different companies or installers may provide you with different solutions & support that is available. Our colleagues will let you know before we conduct a survey known as a Retrofit Assessment if there is any chance of a contribution being required. I had heard about these grants but was a little sceptical until I saw an article in my local newspaper about this company. So I took the plunge and called them. Their surveyor came round explained everything clearly and handled all my paperwork. The wall insulation wad done by their installers LMF and they even did my attic. There was a small problem with the install which I called UK Energy Grants about but they sorted this within 24 hours. I highly recommend this company for grants.
